Fourth-quarter advertising revs up for b2b marketers

As the economy begins to show signs of picking up, many b2b marketers are preparing for a busy fourth quarter that will see new ad campaigns, increased ad spending and the introduction of new products and services. Among the marketers that plan to step up their advertising efforts in the coming months are American Express Co., Sybase Inc., United Parcel Service of America, Verizon Communications, Visa USA and Xerox Corp.

“For b2b software, Q4 is typically the highest quarter in terms of revenue,” said Mark Wilson, VP-corporate marketing at Sybase, which will roll out new ad campaigns in the fourth quarter for its enterprise mobility solutions and capital markets software.
