A new premium ‘Macworld Insider’ product from IDG’s Apple-focused tech magazine is off to an encouraging start. Launched earlier this month, the ‘Insider’ offers members-only access to special features at Macworld’s site, including full-text RSS feeds of articles, a PDF archive of past issues, a no-ad version of the site, chats with editors and a free pass to Macworld 2011. The ($39.95/year) bundle was designed to super-serve the magazine brand’s most loyal readers with a package crafted around the concepts of convenience and deeper access. Subscribers to the magazine in print or via Zinio digital version get the ‘Insider’ package at half cost. The company says it will be adding more features as it receives feedback from members.
