Avaya, a global leader in enterprise communications systems, software and services, has joined with CIO to showcase technology executives on topics of industry interest in a multi-media marketing program. The CIO Debate (http://www.cio.com/debate?source=pr) series began this month, and will continue through March 2011.

“As an industry leader in video collaboration, it makes great business sense for Avaya to join CIO, Computerworld, and the IDG TechNetwork to bring thought leaders across the industry and compelling technology content together in such an interactive, multimedia forum”

The October debut episode of CIO Debate is titled “Innovating for Value and Growth.” It features video interviews with Stuart Kippelman, vice president and chief information officer of Covanta Energy and Vince Kellen, chief information officer of University of Kentucky, and examines topics including measuring innovation and developing technology business cases. This month, ‘Business Collaboration’ will be the featured topic, as examined by Larry Bonfante, chief information officer for the US Tennis Association & US Open and Sam Coursen, chief information officer of Freescale Semiconductor.
