Millions of Web users still go every day to check their email at Yahoo Inc. and AOL Inc.
It is in part through the visits of these millions of consumers every day that both companies are able to sell big display ads on their overall sites.
So it is both Yahoo and AOL which could see the most impact to their businesses from Facebook’s new messaging product, which hopes to consolidate even more communication around the world’s largest social network and keep consumers inside Facebook. See Facebook news here.
