Seven Metrics To Prove Marketing’s Worth 

It’s no secret that the CMO has the shortest tenure in the executive ranks, attributable largely to a lack of standing among the rest of the C-suite. Indeed, lack of credibility with executive leadership was the primary reason given by corporate executives for the limited CMO life span in a survey conducted by temporary marketing executive placement firm Chief Outsiders. And a whopping 66 percent of marketing executives ranked accountability as their top concern, according to an Association of National Advertisers poll.
