Finalists will be chosen for Best Use of Facebook, Best Use of Twitter, Best Use of LinkedIn, Best Use of Pinterest, Best Use of Viral Video, Best Use of Mobile, Best Corporate Blog, Best Closed Community, and Best Integrated Campaign (across more than one social channel) for tech and non-tech companies.
BtoB editors will select a winner and runner-up for each category that will be revealed online and in the April issue of BtoB. The editors will also choose their favorite entries for People’s Choice awards where online voters will select a top tech and non-tech campaign.
All winners, runners-up, and People’s Choice selections will be honored at a San Francisco awards luncheon in March 2013 during the Digital Edge conference.
Social Marketing Showcase and Conference
“Our first awards luncheon and Digital Edge conference last March attracted nearly 200 marketers and agency professionals who were interested in both digital and social insights and peer networking,” said Bob Felsenthal, publisher, Crain’s BtoB and Media Business. “We expect a large turnout next March as those topics remain vital to marketers’ success across industries.”
Matthew Yorke, president, IDG Global Solutions said: “Marketing services, including social programs, have grown rapidly as clients seek advice, strategy, and implementation of branding and lead generation programs. We expect mobile and social to merge into a powerful force for consumers and marketers.”
BtoB‘s Marketing of and Reporting on Awards Program
BtoB and IDG have agreed to a comprehensive digital and print campaign to promote the 2013 BtoB Social Marketing Awards sponsored by IDG. BtoB will run a series of ads and promotions in e-mail newsletters, in its website, in BtoB‘s Facebook and LinkedIn pages, its Twitteraccount, and in print issues this winter. IDG promotion will run in Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and IDG Knowledge Hub.
2013 BtoB Social Marketing Awards Rules
A BtoB marketer or agency can submit a campaign that began February 2012 or later, with the exception of the Blog and Closed Community categories that must have had posts February 2012 or later but the blog or community may have debuted earlier. BtoB editors will choose the finalists and category winners. The two grand prize honorees in tech and non-tech will be selected by the People’s Choice online voting.
Submissions can only be entered online through November 30. For more on the BtoB Social Marketing Awards program, sponsored by IDG, or to submit an entry, please go to http://bit.ly/UIm2Y8.
