Campbell said the “North Pole” campaign added humor to CDW’s “People Who Get IT” messaging. CDW hoped the two-week campaign would lead to150,000 video views, but that was very conservative. IDG Strategic Marketing Services Director Howard Sholkin interviewed Campbell during the BtoB awards ceremony in March 2012…

CenturyLink devised a trivia contest that attracted 90,000 players and more than half of them registered on the site. Online voters selected CenturyLink as the best tech social media marketing campaign in BtoB’s annual awards sponsored for a third straight year by IDG Strategic Marketing Services.

How did a game attract so much interest and what was the reaction to it from game players? IDG’s Howard Sholkin spoke with Marketing Director Joanne Kernie at the awards ceremony and digital conference in March 2012.
